Part 5(h) of our tenancy agreement states that “members have a responsibility to avoid behaviour which is likely to cause a nuisance to other members”
We expect all members to show their housemates and neighbours respect by observing noise during periods of work and late at night. Many of our members work from home, suffer from disabilities or require a good amount of “peace and quiet”. We are an idyllic community and we’re not afraid to celebrate but we ask that everyone observes basic common decency while living with us.
Part 5(g) states that “the member is responsible at all times for the behaviour of guests while the guests are on the property”
We are open to the wider world and we welcome your friends and family to visit us. We ask that you only invite people who are of responsible age and state of mind. We cannot allow any persons under the age of 18 on-site at any time and cannot be held responsible for any damage or wrongdoing caused by the guest of an individual member.
We are otherwise governed by a strict but fair set of co-operative standards and policies (known as “the rules”). A copy of these rules can be obtained by contacting the membership sub-committee.
Please find below an example document of our standard code of conduct, which all members sign along with their tenancy agreement.
